Woolacombe beach is one of the finest in the West Country, and without a doubt the biggest attraction for the thousands of people who holiday here each summer.

Woolacombe Holiday Cottages

With three miles of golden sands and life guards to ensure safe family fun, plus great waves rolling In off the Atlantic to challenge the watersports enthusiasts, it's no wonder that so many people return year after year to our holiday cottages around this wonderful part of the Devon coast. Woolacombe's star quality has won plenty of official recognition too – it has been awarded both the Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach awards for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities.

Woolacombe itself is a lively holiday location with great pubs, restaurants and holiday cottages. There is a relaxing and laid back atmosphere that combined with the stunning beach and plenty of activities, makes Woolacombe a fantastic holiday destination year round.

The village sits between the dramatic headlands of Baggy Point and Morte Point in a steep valley. Much of the surrounding countryside is National Trust-owned and you'll enjoy superb coastal scenery and wonderful panoramic views from the headlands.

Wildlife-watchers should make a point of looking out for the seals which are often spotted bobbing about in the water or basking on the rocks around Morte Point. And for history buffs the nearby village of Mortehoe is of interest too, as some of it dates back to Norman times.
